“Dáme na vás” is a project of the City of Brno, which has been implemented annually since 2017. We had the honour to be part of this project in 2020. See how we did it!
Základom každej úspešnej propagácie je tvorba kvalitného obsahu. Pre projekt „Dáme na vás“ bolo potrebné nafotiť a vytvoriť prezentačné video pre 65 respondentov. Tento materiál sa následne použil v kampaniach, ktoré obyvateľov Brna zoznamovali s projektmi postupujúcimi do veľkého finále.
A key factor for the project’s success was producing more than 60 videos of project proposers from Brno. Each proposer had to be filmed in the environment where their project was planned, making coordination with the production team a challenge at times. Yet we managed it smoothly. Take a look at some of our work results.
Campaign reach was further extended with a well-crafted informational video. The short and engaging video delivered high reach, high view rates, and numerous conversions.
Facebook campaigns played a key role in the “Dáme na vás” project. Thanks to detailed audience segmentation, we brought in over 5,000 votes from Facebook and Instagram. Our priority was to deliver relevant content to Brno residents and spark interest in the participatory budget. How did we do it?
Simply. Cyclists care about safe routes, parents about places where children can play, and residents of Líšeň (for example) care about improving their district. We created campaigns tailored to each resident so everyone could find and vote for what mattered most to them.
Of course, remarketing must form the basis of any successful campaign. Without it, we wouldn't get very far and we'd lose a lot of votes. However, at first we were sceptical about it, knowing that Brno has many students and foreigners who could visit the website, but couldn’t vote. However, our initial expectations were not met and the remarketing contributed almost a thousand votes to the results despite the slightly higher cost per action.
No, even further! A large-scale campaign such as the “Dáme na vás” project required frequent attention and quick reactions to changes. We evaluated and optimized campaigns and ad sets almost every day. Budgets needed to be moved from set to set and from campaign to campaign to achieve the best possible result.
And at the end of the project? Taking and then editing photos of who else but this year's winners! A light makeup touch-up was in store, followed by a photo shoot in front of a white screen. The whole procedure was conducted in a friendly spirit and on leaving each of the winners received a gift package from the city of Brno.
In 2020, we engaged a record number of Brno citizens, making the 4th year the most successful in the project’s history!
We beat the last edition by 56% in the number of voters! This year, 20,676 Brno residents took part in the voting, which is 6,189 more votes than in the most successful year to date.
